Duct grade and armoured cables are ideal for use outside where weather exposure or mechanical damage could be a problem.
The external duct grade cables feature a PE outer sheath over the standard cable to provide water resistance, UV stability and extra durability. This can be quickly removed leaving the standard cable sheath for easy termination within glands and equipment.
When additional protection is required the steel wire armoured (SWA) range of cables provides the answer, an inner layer of steel wires under the PE sheath allows for the cable to be buried directly in the ground or installed in high-risk areas.
The growing range of duct and steel wire armoured (SWA) cables in stock are available on a cut to length service so you can order the quantity you need without wastage or added cost.
