LF-349 LSZH SY flexible Armoured Cable.
SY cable has proved popular for many years as an armoured flex for use on mobile equipment . Mechanical protection is provided by a flexible galvanised steel wire braid (GSWB) to maintain the usability of a PVC flex making it ideal for use on mobile equipment.
For applications in fire sensitive environments such as hospitals, data centres PVC is generally no longer accepted creating a need for an “LSZH SY” cable. LF-349 has been introduced to meet the need. LF-349 is a Low Smoke Halogen Free cable made with the same construction as traditional “SY” to maintain the flexibility and protection whilst removing the risk of toxic smoke and fumes in the event of a fire.
