About the Sales Executive Job
This is a consultative sales position; you'll use your B2B sales, account management, excellent customer service and communication skills. You will be joining a strong force of 12 Sales Executives. The sales team covers Re-sellers, Contractors and OEM's selling to business across the UK.
You’ll be customer focused and pride yourself in delivering robust results which will come from your excellent consultative sales approach and “can do, will do” attitude.
You will be given full product and technical training, we'll support you to learn and develop your knowledge of our industrial products. We’ll give you the confidence to provide customers with account management service and consultative technical sales processes.

As Sales Executive your duties will include:
- Account management of your customer portfolio
- Planning and calling of new prospects to build long-term profitable sales
- Ensuring customers are quoted and orders are processed in a timely manner
- Maintaining clear customer records on company CRM as well as providing clear and accurate information to customers and colleagues
- Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
- Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
- Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries
- Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
- Gathering market and customer information
- Representing their company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
- Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers
- Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy
- Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions
- Creating detailed proposal documents
- Checking the quantities of goods in stock
- Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
- Gaining a clear understanding of customers’ business requirements
- Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations
- Feeding future buying trends back to purchasing
- Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues
As well as these core job functions you’ll be happy to get stuck in and do what is necessary when needed to provide the customer with the service they need
Your skills and experience:
- B2B sales experience, ideally consultative or technical sales
- Relationship building skills
- The ability and desire to sell
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive, confident and determined approach
- Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection
- High degree of self-motivation and ambition
- Skills to work both independently and as part of a team
- Capability to flourish in a competitive environment
- Good level of numeracy
